Introduction to Genesis G80 and G90
Genesis G80 and G90 are the best manufacturers of the Genesis motor division of South Korean automaker Hyundai. Both these cars enhance brand awareness in the luxury car market by their features. They are known for offering competitive pricing and designs, which can compete with Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi.
Genesis G80
Genesis G80 has a 2.5 turbocharged and four-cylinder engine connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Its engine produces 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. The fuel economy numbers are 22 in the city, 30 Highway, and 25 combined. G80 has an advanced package that includes the Lexicon sound system.
The front cold seats have 19-inch rims and a lot of things. I love the design of the G80. It’s not aggressive, just very classy and very luxurious. For the headlights, it does have that dual design.
Genesis G90
Genesis G90 is the fully loaded 48-volt e-supercharged model well. Then, we do have a base model, g90. Which is around 90 grand, and that does not come with the 48-volt mild hybrid and e-supercharger system. The 2023 Genesis G90 is certainly more expensive than the previous g90. But that’s fine because this is a car of really no compromise. It is absolutely in the leagues of the S classes, the seven series. The A8s are the LSs from Lexus. This car is about 207 inches long, about a whole foot longer than a BMW 5 series. There is an extended wheelbase version that’s even longer than others.
Overview of Genesis G80
The 2023 Genesis G80 sedan has been on a roll lately. Many people are ringing to get their hands on new Genesis products. It has many minor changes. Let’s talk about some of the changes here. The interior gets an update.
We have a new convex design for the multimedia controller. It has a 2 and 1.5 turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine and Sport Prestige package. It has a 12.3-inch 3D digital gauge cluster. This particular model also comes with larger 19-inch wheels and alloy pedals. Monoblock front brakes have some additional interior features.

The previous generation G90 came with a twin-turbocharged 3.3 liter and V6 engine. The upgrade engine was a 5-liter V8. Both of those are gone for 2023. We now have a standard 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, and the upgrade is the same engine. Genesis has slapped on a 48-volt electric supercharger. Its test car’s total output measures 409 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. It whisks you away from a stop.
Its 8-speed automatic transmission is almost invisible in the air suspension. That comes standard on the e-supercharged G90. It just Smoothing out all of the imperfections in the road in big executive luxury sedans. G90s come standard with all-wheel drive and the e-supercharger trim. That adds rear-wheel steering to the mix.

My Opinion: Which Should You Buy – Genesis G80 or G90?
Suppose you are going to buy one of Geneses G80 and G90. Then hang on, don’t ask anyone this is the question. Whose answer lies in your personal preference, need, and priority. If you want a car that is affordable with a strong value proposition. Available with multiple engine options, updated interior, and technology features. Then you have to pay for Geneses G80, but keep in mind. It is not as luxurious and opulent as the G90, and it is less powerful than it.
On the other side, if you want a car with luxury features, massaging seats, a fragrance diffuser, and a powerful engine. That gives a smooth ride. You have to pay for a Genesis G90. But keep in mind that it is affordable and has limited availability of certain features on lower trims.
Thus, if you don’t have a concern with expensive, purchase a G90. But if it doesn’t fit in your budget, then go and purchase a Genesis G80.
